I just returned from Davos where I marveled at the tunnels through the mountains, some of which stretched for miles and curved. Amazing feat. This article really helps explain how they are built. However, I have two thoughts. 1- I think most of this technology effort is for naught–as autonomous drone taxis will be here in mass long before the single Elon Tunnel gets completed in LA. 2- I don’t think Elon really cares about boring tunnels in LA for traffic.
